INCINERATION

The high technical standard of the hazardous waste incineration plant in Biebesheim makes it a reference for high technology in waste disposal. The plant has a thermal capacity of 2x17,7 MW (more than 100.000 tons/year). Solid, pasty, gaseous and liquid waste is incinerated in two rotary kilns at temperatures of more than 1200° C and converted into chemically stable slag. Residual pollutants are separated from the flue gas in a multi-stage purification process
